Agency Workers Regulations

What are the Regulations?

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) are coming into force on October 1st 2011 and will impact all organisations that use agency workers. This legislation will entitle the majority of agency workers to the same treatment and pay as their directly employed equivalents, after a qualifying period. Hirers as well as agencies will be responsible for ensuring equal treatment; therefore you need to take action now to prepare your organisation in time for October 1st.

GO Recruit can help?

As a specialist recruitment company Go Recruit are your ideal partners to assist you with complying with this forthcoming legislative change. We have been working for some months now to interpret the regulations with the help of industry leading lawyers, management consultants and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). Our aim is to help our clients understand the legislation, and encourage them to start preparing now so that there are no changes to their temporary staffing arrangements as of October 1st.

Useful Information for Hirers

Hirers are advised to undertake a data gathering exercise to ascertain the effect the Agency Workers Regulations will have on their business.  Go Recruit has produced a guide that explains the main points in the regulations.
